A Fresh Coat of Paint

Posted on October 17, 2008 at 8:53 PM
What a wonderful week we have had at the church. So many showing up to help paint, clean, repair, replace, paint, weed, organize, cook, fellowship, paint, laugh, polish, vacuum, did I say paint...and many other great accomplishments.

There is just something special when the body of Christ comes together and works alongside one another. Thanks Jim, Greg, and Terry for taking the lead and getting us all together. Thanks to all those who helped with the work, those who provide our meals, and especially those who provided the comic relief.

I am so looking forward to our next wok day(s), just so I can get to know some of you more.

The church building looks INCREDIBLE!  We should be proud of the blessing the Lord has given us.
If any of you have some free days coming up and would like to help with some of the items still on our "TO DO" list, such as paint the left side classrooms, just let me know and we'll put you right to work.

When Dad & I started at Central AG we joined a church cleaning project. I was blessed to clean the altar in the Solid Rock Youth Group room which used to be the original sanctuary. Billie Jean Donati and I worked there and she became my very first FRIEND at Central and to this day, 25 years later, we still are friends. Dad & I always feel as though this is the best way to get to know people. Working together in the house of the Lord just does something for our souls.
