Wayne Schaffer | Lead Pastor

As Lead Pastor, Wayne is an effective communicator of God’s Word, known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. He also serves as Presbyter for the South Central West Section of the Penn/Del District A/G. 

 

Pastor Wayne grew up in a pastors home and received the call to pastoral ministry at the age of 16. He has served in full time ministry since receiving his credentials with the Assemblies of God in 1991. Pastor Wayne served as associate and lead pastor of several different churches before coming to New Life in 2008.

 

He and his wife, Suzanne, have been married since 1992. They are the proud parents of two adult children, Michael (Victoria) and Carly Wilson (Derrick), and grandparents to their three grandsons.

 

Pastor Wayne enjoys traveling on missions trips, trying new restaurants and finishing his day with a bowl of Suzanne’s homemade ice cream.

Micah Marshall | Youth Pastor

Micah is the Executive Director and founder of Refuge Youth Network. He is married to Bethany Marshall who is a Family Life Pastor at another local church. Micah grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Zion Bible College in Haverhill, Massachusetts with a degree in Biblical Studies. He was hired in March 2011 as the youth pastor at New Life Worship Center, where Refuge Youth Network was birthed.  He is the current youth pastor for four churches in the area: New Life Worship Center, Trans4mation Church, Community Worship Center in Tyrone and Journey Church in Hollidaysburg  Micah enjoys spending time with his wife Bethany and their dog, Tank.

Tom Lundgren | Senior Administrative Assistant

Tom is the senior administrative assistant at New Life. He graduated from the State University of New York, Fredonia campus, with Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He retired from Stroehmann/Bimbo Bakeries after working in management for over 40 years.

 

Tom is responsible for the finances, administration, and financial reporting for the church. He loves the opportunity to serve the Lord and be a mentor in other men’s lives. He enjoys playing golf with his buddies in the summer as well as carpentry and cooking.

 

Tom served his country in the Army National Guard from 1965 – 1971.

 

Tom and his wife, Tammy, met in church and been married since 1997. Their three children and three grandchildren have been a constant source of joy in their lives. For Tom, the love of the Lord, his own family, and his New Life church family is his daily inspiration.

Mason Stumpf | Director of Church Engagement

Mason is our Director of Church Engagement here at New Life, as well as our Refuge Bellwood campus director. Each week, he leads the congregation in worship, and makes sure our tech booth is running smoothly. He has been married to his wife, Kessler, since May 2020, and they have a three year old son named Asher, as well as a three month old son named Shiloh.  Mason Graduated from Lancaster Bible College in December of 2024 with a bachelors in ministry leadership and biblical theology. When he's not at the church, you can find him at the gym, or just being a full time dad.
